The Crocus SHDSL RS-530 (Single-pair High bit rate Digital Subscriber Line) is a new-generation manageable base band modem offering full 2 Mbps duplex transmission for RS-530, V.35, X.21 or V.36 based applications over unconditioned unshielded twisted-pair cable.
 
A dedicated 2-pair version offers the possibility to extend the reach to longer distances or higher speeds (up to 4.6 Mbps). For extreme long distances, the equipment can fall back to a lower transmission rate, offering reduced speeds on the serial interface. 

The Crocus SHDSL RS-530 is available as a locally or remotely powered (RP) unit. The remotely powered unit can also be locally powered at -48VDC directly or by 230Vac through an external power adapter.
