Program 4: TMA Management (4 days) Related Products:
TDRE OS Product Range

TMA Maintenance application
The TMA maintenance application provides a user-friendly graphical interface to configure the access equipment or to solve problems in operational environment.

1035 Orchid
The 1035 Orchid network management concentrator collects information from the managed devices and translates it into IP messages towards the TMA management station. A correct configuration of the Orchid is the base for a reliable network management.

Configuration & Firmware distribution and consistency
The Orchid file system can store configuration and firmware image files from the managed devices and distribute this files to the devices. Once the files are installed, the Orchid continuously verifies if the devices have the correct configuration and firmware

TMA Element Management
Stand-alone management application including the Element Manager to manage alarms of OAB access devices and the Element Viewer to graphically represent the alarm status of these devices

TMA CLI command line interface
This module allows the use of a simple ASCII syntax for configuration, initiation of test-loops and retrieval of different types of information for the equipment in the network. It is the ideal base for the development of automated scripts

TMA Inventory Management
Inventory Management automatically builds a database with a number of inventory parameters from each of the OAB access devices in the network.

HP OpenView Network Node Manager
This part of the training describes the basic operation principles of the HP OV NNM, his databases and processes.

TMA integration into HP OpenView NNM
The function of the Element Manager that interfaces between HP OV and the 1035 Orchid.

Hands-on exercise
Practical exercises based on Windows 2000 workstations include installation of TMA maintenance application, configuration of the 1035 Orchid, installation of HP OpenView NNM, and installation of TMA for HP OV.
