enter into a technology partnership

Pirelli selects OneAccess as a technology partner to expand its portfolio and add a new line of business-class routers designed for enterprise and small business applications. 

Milan – 07 June, 2006 – Pirelli Broadband Solutions, the broadband access and photonics company within the Pirelli Group, today announced that it has entered into a commercial agreement and technology partnership with OneAccess, a European vendor of business-class routers, to jointly provide multi-service routers to Pirelli’s customer base.

Under the agreement, Pirelli and OneAccess will go to market with a new line of business-class routers for data, voice and multi-service applications.  The Pirelli-OneAccess business-class portfolio consists of two product families: data and voice, and data only.  The integrated access device (IAD) product line features VOIP functionalities providing best-in-class interface combinations (up to four BRI, eight-FXS ports, four-Ethernet ports, and WLAN 802.11g) to connect phones, faxes, PABX, and LAN workstations and is ideally suited for telecom operators and service providers wanting to deliver bundled voice and data services to small- and medium-sized businesses.  The IP router product line offers scalable and configurable, secure, high-speed Internet/IP-VPN connections for small and medium businesses.  The Pirelli-OneAccess business-class router portfolio will be initially available in Italy and then in other European markets.
