First Carrier Grade EFM Enabled Multiservice Router

Paris, France, 25 February 2008 – OneAccess Networks today announced the availability of its new carrier-grade routers with EFM technology: the ONE20 G/D/M (multiservices router) and ONE100 D/M (voice enabled multiservices router). They both feature SHDSL.bis EFM technology with full layer-3 router functionality.  The simultaneous support for ATM and Ethernet based access networks allows for the smooth and non-disruptive migration from traditional ATM-based access networks to EFM. The unique combination of EFM and layer 3 functionalities in a single box conveniently replaces traditional two-box solutions (NTU+router).

Driven by growing demand for high bandwidth and cost-reduction of network infrastructure, network operators are in the middle of transitioning from ATM-based access networks to an EFM-based, Ethernet-optimized network infrastructure. The ONE20 G/D/M and ONE100 D/M embrace the shift in access network technology and offer all the capabilities of legacy ATM, but with the added functionality of EMF technology.
