The Crocus SHDSL G.703 (Single-pair High bit rate Digital Subscriber Line) is a new-generation manageable base band modem offering full 2 Mbps duplex transmission for G.703 based applications over unconditioned unshielded twisted-pair cable.
 
A dedicated 2-pair version offers the possibility to extend the reach to longer distances or higher speeds (up to 4.6 Mbps).

For extreme long distances, the equipment can fall back to a lower transmission rate, offering reduced speeds on the Fractional E1 (FE1) operation.
